The BRC is recommended for all experience levels from the “never ridden at all” student to the very experienced rider with no formal training. Classroom and on-cycle experiences introduce basic motorcycle operation to the students and help develop street-riding strategies. All exercises are conducted on our custom closed-course riding range. Training motorcycles are provided by Balance Dynamics and are typically 125-250 cc’s from a variety of manufacturers. Participants must be 16 years of age to enroll and must have written parental consent if under 18. Proper protective riding gear is required which includes:
– DOT approved 3/4 or full faced helmet
(loaner helmets are available)
– Protective eye wear
– Jacket or long-sleeved shirt
– Long pants with no holes, rips or tears
– Sturdy over-the-ankle footwear (must cover the ankle bone)
– Full-fingered gloves
– Rain Gear
All courses start promptly at the designated time and there is no grace period. Please allow ample driving time to insure your prompt arrival.

Successful completion of the BRC
Students who pass the BRC will be issued a waiver card that will allow waiver of the state road skill test and will receive their motorcycle endorsement/license upon presenting the appropriate course completion card to the license bureau. The BRC offered at Balance Dynamics is recognized by Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia for the road skills test waiver. Other states may accept out-of-state completion certificates but you need to check with your state’s motorcycle program coordinator to determine their policy. INDIANA DOES NOT recognize any other state’s completion cards. You should contact your BMV or the Governor’s Office for rationale.
