Motorcycle Safety Foundation
Basic RiderCourse Level 2 (BRC 2 / ERC) – $150

The BRC 2 is for the rider who wants to refresh and practice street riding maneuvers. The 5 hour course, taken on your own motorcycle, fine-tunes riding skills, develops finesse and emphasizes strategies to reduce risks. The ability to handle various riding situations is developed and reinforced throughout the course. This is done by putting you through specially designed on-cycle maneuvers that improve your decision-making process.

This course if for riders who already have basic skills. It is similar to the BRC except speeds are higher and you should be on your own motorcycle. It’s an excellent refresher course for practicing and renewing riding skills. It includes an informal classroom component for discussing safety concepts based on past riding experiences and current knowledge.

Students who complete the BRC2 will be issued a waiver card that will allow waiver of the state road skill test and will receive their motorcycle endorsement/license upon presenting the appropriate course completion card to the license bureau. The BRC2 offered at Balance Dynamics is recognized by Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia for the road skills test waiver. Other states may accept out-of-state completion certificates but you need to check with your state’s motorcycle program coordinator to determine their policy.
